The Nasarawa Government through the Bureau For Information and Communications Technology (BICT) has opened a partnership initiation process with Nigeria‘s satellite providers, Nigerian Communication Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT). In a meeting held on Thursday, 26th January 2023, representatives of the federal establishment outlined that their service deployment would enhance Security and Broadband Connectivity, while also improving the economy through its youth empowerment programs, where youths are given VSat installation training and startup kits for self reliance.

The NIGCOMSAT team led by Group Head Satellite Infrastructure Company (SIC) Dr. Mohammed Alkali stated their organizations desires to partner with Nasarawa State, given her evident progress in Information Technology Enables Services and improved Digital Economy. This he said showcases a great potential of a successful partnership, and as such NIGCOMSAT is ready to provide support as required in any area.
